has an immediate opening for a full-time Customer Service Specialist at the Building Materials location in Moline, IL.
This is an hourly position working Monday - Friday from 7am to 5pm and some Saturdays from 8am to noon (depending on the season).
Customer Service Specialist
Responsibilities:
Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service in person and by telephone Recommend various products based on the needs of the customer Communicate instructions clearly with vendors, customers and colleagues Perform data entry - accurately process customer transactions including sales, voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges as needed Organizes and maintains accurate record of daily cash flow/payments Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices Assist with ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly indoor/outdoor showroom at all times Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers Answer incoming phone calls and answer questions or process new order requests Regularly review inventory levels and reorder products on an as-needed basis Other duties assigned by management Customer Service Specialist Minimum
Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication skills are required for optimal customer service and experience Strong attention to detail is required, as accuracy in data entry is extremely important Ability to read and interpret invoices, bills of lading, and purchase orders Ability to multi-task is essential; focus should always be on customers, so it may be necessary to start and stop lower priority tasks frequently Good math skills for processing customer orders in a timely manner PC proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (very important) Ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent attendance is vital to the success of the team Now is a great time to join our team!
