Moline, IL Moline, IL Full-time Full-time Up to $52 an hour Up to $52 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Job Summary The Solar Construction Project Manager oversees an onsite Owner's team consisting of a Construction Manager, Project Engineer, Safety Coordinator and Environmental Compliance Coordinator.
The owner's team is onsite with the EPC contractor monitoring EPC contract compliance daily and provide management reports weekly.
The Construction Project Manager also coordinates with Owner support teams include External Affairs, Legal, Media Relations, Contracts Administration, Project Controls and other back-office service groups.
Responsibilities:
Work with technical and non-technical business owners/partners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
Lead a collaborative development/pre-construction process for multiple new large utility and small utility scale solar projects.
Manage projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with business partners including developers, real estate, construction managers, architects & engineers and EPC Contractors.
Evaluate site feasibility including locality requirements, environmental regulatory requirements.
Create estimates for capital requests, and other planning efforts.
Manage relationship with EPC contractor.
Negotiate EPC and other contract scopes.
Review and approve EPC submittals packages.
Clarify drawings and document scope between EPC contract requirements and contractor submittals.
Manage EPC contract compliance through NCR and RFI processes.
Establish effective relationships along with an understanding of local permit process and schedules.
Lead weekly coordination meetings to keep all parties aligned on scope, schedule, permitting and budget.
Effectively facilitate and communicate during critical project milestones including handoffs between development/pre-construction teams, construction and long-term operations teams.
This position will require flexibility to travel to different service areas based on project needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Basic
Qualifications:

years' experience managing capital projects, demonstrating progressive responsibility and growth.
Have strong project management experience including, developing and managing scope, budget, and schedule.
Ability to conduct business case analysis / translate information into useful formats and draw conclusions.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
Ability to lead negotiations and manage high-level meetings and discussions.
BA/BS degree from accredited university.
Experience in negotiating contracts, master agreements, and other construction agreements.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Engineering Degree; Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
Utility Scale Solar Experience.
Experience with management presentations.
Provide business decision support and participate/lead special projects.
Strong organizational skills and business acumen.
Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
